Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily, reveals how Buccaneers QB reacted to her pregnancy reveal
Baker Mayfield had an “adorable” reaction upon learning his wife, Emily, is pregnant with their first child.
When taking part in an Instagram “Ask Me Anything” on Wednesday, Emily who revealed this week that the couple is expecting a baby girl next year elaborated on how she shared the news with the Buccaneers quarterback.
“It was adorable,” Emily said of Mayfield’s reaction. “I set up a whole thing & had a ‘big bro’ shirt on their dog Fergus. His initial reaction was he thought we got a puppy so he was looking around the kitchen for that. But then when he realized it, he was SO excited.”

“His jaw hit the floor, I think he yelled ‘SHUT UP!?!? You are?!?’ Then we both cried happy tears,” she said in a separate slide.
The Mayfields announced the exciting news Monday in a joint Instagram post.

Emily thanked fans on Wednesday for their support.
“Bake and I are feeling all the love the last few days following our announcement! Thank you. We feel so so blessed,” she shared on Instagram.
Mayfield, the first overall pick by the Browns in 2018, is in his first season with the Buccaneers.
Through 12 games this season, Mayfield has thrown for 2,790 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
