Shedeur Sanders makes clear why he’s returning to Colorado, not going to NFL
Colorado is retaining its signal-caller for the 2024 season.
Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur, who starred for the Buffaloes this past season at quarterback, is going back to the school for his senior season and he made clear why.
He posted on X on Friday night that Colorado has “the pieces” for 2024, coming off a 4-8 campaign in his father’s first year as the team’s coach.
“Yall know Im not declaring this year. We got the pieces we need do it big this year,” he wrote.
Sanders put forth some impressive numbers under center and out of the shotgun last season.
In his first campaign at Colorado, Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes, throwing for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and three interceptions with a 151.7 rating.
Sanders also rushed for four touchdowns.

Colorado also defeated Nebraska and rival Colorado State.
Unfortunately for the Buffs, they went 1-8 following their hot start, only defeating Arizona State during the late stretch.

According to 247 Sports, Colorado has secured 20 transfers and counting, including six four-star players.
His son is also in on the recruiting, posting a plea for Alabama players in the aftermath of Nick Saban’s sudden retirement, seemingly urging them to make the move to Boulder.
