Shirtless Tulane fan pushes ex-St. John’s player during court-storming madness

It’s been a banner day in court storming for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier on Sunday, nation No. 18 Ohio State’s women’s basketball team upset No. 2 Iowa, 100-92 in overtime.

After the victory, Ohio State fans stormed the court, one of whom collided with Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark, causing her to fall to the ground.

A similar incident happened in men’s basketball as unranked Tulane stunned No. 10 ranked Memphis.

Jones averaged 13.2 points and 6.8 rebounds last season for St. John’s, second amongst team players in both categories.

Tulane, which entered with an 11-6 record, remained tied with Memphis after the first half and trailed by seven with 9:45 remaining, but the Green Wave erased that deficit across the next four minutes and took the lead.

Collin Holloways layup with 1:43 left gave Tulane the lead for good, while he also added two more free throws.

“I’m not a big storm-the-court guy,” Tulane coach Ron Hunter said, according to the Associated Press. “But there’s some occasions at some schools and some environments where you just you know what? I’m happy for them.”

Sion James led Tulane with 22 points, and Kevin Cross added 21 as Memphis, which started the season 15-2, lost its second consecutive game.

It just seems like when it rains, it pours, Memphis coach Penny Hardaway said, according to the AP. We blew a 20-point lead against South Florida and then come to a hostile environment, have a chance to win the game and do everything possible to give the game away.
