Teaching and coaching was always Gus Alfieris greatest gift. He died Saturday at 87, after a battle with Parkinsons Disease. He won 328 games at St. Anthonys High from 1968 through 1986, won a couple of state titles, won five Catholic League titles, once won 49 games in a row once.
