Yankees making low offers to solidify bullpen late in free agency
The Yankees, currently focused on bullpen pieces, have talked to Hector Neris, Phil Maton, Ryan Brasier and Wandy Peralta. But they are alleged to be making low offers, perhaps due to the calendar or a supply-demand perception. As YES Jack Curry said, they could instead bring back Keynan Middleton instead. Hed cost less.
Though the Yankees made an offer for Blake Snell, part of their hesitation in extending what Snells camp considers a market bid seems to be the rough first year of Carlos Rodon, who got $162 million.
