Entering Tuesday nights game, Trocheck was tied with Mika Zibanejad for the second most points (44) and tied with Chris Kreider for the most power-play goals (nine) on the Rangers.

His 62 percent faceoff win mark is ranked third in the NHL, behind only the Devils Michael McLeod (65 percent) and the Stars Jamie Benn (63.3 percent).

Thats a really well-deserved nod and honor for him, head coach Peter Laviolette said. Hes been so good for our team with all aspects of his game. Leadership. Faceoffs. Defensive play. Offensive play. His line, as far as offense goes and generating offense, theyre one of the top lines in the league. Just a really good thing for him, hes earned it and deserves it. Happy for him.
