The Rangers evidently wanted to get an up-close look at Rempe, who had some extra pep in his step on the ice Sunday.

Rempe noted that Tanner Glass, former Rangers wing turned assistant director of player development, has always believed in him and been in his corner throughout his journey.

I think that last year just working and learning and working and working, Ive come a long way, Rempe told The Post. Just continuing to work. Down in Hartford, I think Ive taken big steps this year with my game in all aspects. I think its a testament to all my coaches and stuff down there, all the development team have really helped me and believed in me.

I still got a lot of work to do. Im just going to continue to do that.
