I went to a Las Vegas Golden Knights game. Here’s what you need to know
Go Knights, Go!
Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena is a great place for hockey fans.
Of course, you’ll have a great time if you identify as a Golden Knights die-hard, but if you’re visiting and want to take in a lively game with a puck buddy, we promise you won’t walk away disappointed.
The arena, which is conveniently located steps across from the MGM Park hotel property, is an amazing location to visit between your typical bouts of gambling, shopping and live shows while in Sin City and it would be a sin to skip it.
The atmosphere at T-Mobile Arena
Aside from the venue being accessible, the stadium is as well, with spaced out escalators, elevators, friendly security and staff, making for a very easy walk in and out of the arena before, after and during the game.
Sophie CannonLike many arenas, there are really no bad seats to see a game, as the game as well as the pre and mid-game shows are heavily broadcast on the screens around the space, making for an immersive 360 experience.
Sophie Cannon## Watching the game
The game we attended was a low-scoring affair, but even though no goals were scored in the first period, an incredible amount of fun was had. Make sure to arrive early enough to watch the pre-show, as the Golden Knights’ mascot takes the ice to entertain the crowd Game of Thrones style, in a full-set of armor, with fire, smoke and dragons included. The mid-game graphics are also a hoot our game featured classic characters like Steamboat Willie and the Penguins of Madagascar and even the Jabberwockies dance crew showed up.
Sophie CannonWhen all was said and done, the Knights came away victorious, capping a perfect evening with the team’s stars Mark Stone, Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault up on the ice.
Final Verdict
For a great addition to your Vegas plans, a game at T-Mobile arena is a must, and a nice break from the slot machines and gambling although sports betting is allowed!
