Rob McElhenney watching Eagles’ playoff game on phone from Emmy Awards
Rob McElhenney wont even let the Emmy Awards keep him from watching the Eagles.
The Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor posted a photo on X that showed him watching the Eagles-Buccaneers wild-card game Monday night while sitting in the audience at the ceremony in Los Angeles.
McElhenney has recently served as the executive producer for the Welcome to Wrexham sports documentary, which took five Emmys at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony last week and chronicles the Wrexham FC team he co-owns with actor Ryan Reynolds.
Ill be checking back in throughout the night with the Emmys, McElhenney said before the show, according to the Los Angeles Times, but Ill be watching the game. Ill check in with the Emmys every once in a while to see who won and whatever.
McElhenneys Eagles fandom has been documented before, as the Philadelphia native coordinated a tailgate ahead of the Eagles-49ers NFC Championship game last year where the Wrexham game in the FA Cup was shown on television outside of Lincoln Financial Field, according to Philadelphias WPVI news station.

McElhenney, who bought Wrexham FC with Reynolds in 2020, also told ESPN in January that he noticed similarities between the Eagles and Wrexham, especially with the role both teams possess in their local community.
