NBA DFS picks: PrizePicks targets forPacers-Knicks, 76ers-Jazz
There are just four games in the NBA on Thursday and a host of impactful players are listed on their respective teams injury report.
We will have to navigate around that a bit, but that also leaves open possibilities to take advantage of players stepping into larger roles.
Lets dive in and look at some of my favorite projections to target on PrizePicks for Thursday night in the NBA.
Donte DiVincenzo (Knicks vs. Pacers) more than 18.5 points
Julius Randle remains out with a shoulder injury that has caused him to miss the Knicks last two games. He leaves behind a 29.5% usage rate and a scoring average of 24.0 points per game.
DiVincenzo has stepped into a much larger role in the last two games without Randle, playing at least 39 minutes in each. He scored 28 points against the Hornets and 33 points against the Jazz.
It is worth noting that OG Anunoby was also out for those two games and is listed as questionable on the injury report again.
If Anunoby misses the game, this projection is too low for DiVincenzo. And even if Anunoby plays, I still like DiVincenzo to beat this projection.
Per the CourtIQ tool over at RotoGrinders, DiVincenzo has posted a 27.2% usage rate with Randle (and the recently traded RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley) off the floor this season.
That usage rate is 6.9 points higher than his season average and ranks second on the team (among regular rotation players) behind only Jalen Brunson.
DiVincenzo has averaged 24.6 points per-36 minutes with Randle, Barrett and Quickley off the floor this season.
Additionally, he gets one of the best possible matchups in the league against Indiana. The Pacers play at the second-fastest pace in the NBA and rank just 26th in defensive rating.
And the last time these teams met in late December, DiVincenzo led the Knicks with 38 points.

Evan Mobley and Darius Garland have each returned from injury this week, but both should remain on a minutes restriction in this game. That means the majority of the scoring burden will fall on Donovan Mitchell again.
Mobley has played two games since his return from injury and has not topped more than 22 minutes.
Garland made his return on Wednesday and played just 20 minutes.
Mitchell is putting together another All-NBA campaign.
He has averaged 28.2 points per game on 32.4% usage this season, and is coming off a 45-point performance against the Pistons.
The Cavs take on an extremely shorthanded Grizzlies team tonight.
Not only is Memphis without stars Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, but they will be missing a host of other significant rotation players as well.
Mitchell should continue to dominate the usage for the Cavs and has a great chance to blow past his points projection.

Tobias Harris (76ers vs. Jazz) more than 23.5 points
Joel Embiid is out again for the Sixers and that means a big usage bump for Harris.
Per RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Harris has posted a 25.3% usage rate with Embiid off the floor this season, a bump of nearly five points above his season average.
Harris ranks second on the Sixers in usage with Embiid off the floor behind Tyrese Maxey, who has missed the last three games and is listed as questionable on the injury report for this game.
If Maxey is out or limited, we can expect an even bigger usage bump for Harris. Again, per CourtIQ, Harris sees his usage rate jump to 27.7% with both Embiid and Maxey off the floor this season.
In addition to the injury situation for the Sixers, they have an excellent matchup against Utah. The Jazz play at the ninth-fastest pace in the NBA, and they rank just 24th in defensive rating.
Harris should be a primary contributor on offense alongside Maxey, and he would be the top option in the offense if Maxey were to miss the game.

In most popular poker variants, such as Texas Hold'em and Omaha, a standard deck of 52 playing cards is used. Each deck contains four suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades) and consists of 13 ranks (Ace, 2 through 10, and the face cards: Jack, Queen, and King).
