NBA DFS picks on PrizePicks: Players forCeltics-Hawks, Warriors-76ers
Its another loaded Wednesday night in the NBA with seven games on tap.
In our PrizePicks selections, we take a look at a veteran superstar with high expectations, an emerging star taking advantage of a new opportunity and a new face in a different place.
Lets dive in and pick some winners from the PrizePicks lobby.
Jayson Tatum (Celtics vs. Hawks) more than 27.5 points
This game has a gigantic 245.5 projected total, and Boston has played in seven games with a game total of 240-plus points this season.
One was an anomaly when the Bucks were up almost 40 points after two quarters and the Celtics’ starters did not see the floor in the second half. In another instance, Tatum scored 25 points in 31 minutes in a blowout. And he was a DNP in another Boston game with a total of 240-plus.
He scored 32, 30, 38 and 39 points in the four other contests with a game total this high. So, Tatum has hit the Over-27.5 line in four of six games with a 240-plus total this season.
Furthermore, if Jrue Holiday (elbow, questionable) sits, the game could be a bit closer and Tatums usage should rise.
Atlanta ranks 27th in defensive rating and fourth in pace. Let’s hope the Hawks can keep this game close for at least 3.5 quarters.
Jonathan Kuminga (Warriors vs. 76ers) more than 20.0 points
Out with the old, in with the new.
Former stars such as Klay Thompson are taking a back seat to some of the Golden State up-and-comers.
Kuminga has been a different animal in 2024. The Warriors are letting him play real minutes, and he’s rewarding them. He is averaging 0.68 points per minute since Jan. 1, with a very respectable 25% usage rate.
Philadelphia is lost without Joel Embiid, ranking 26th in defensive rating in its last 10 games.
Im expecting a big game from a youngster who is trending in the right direction.
Immanuel Quickley could see an increased usage rate Wednesday. Getty Images## Immanuel Quickley (Raptors vs. Hornets) more than 23.5 points + assists
The NBA trade deadline is set for 3 p.m. ET Thursday, but Toronto has already made its splash moves.
Gone are Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, and Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett are spearheading the new-look Raptors.
Quickley was a player in New York who didnt get the chance to become a focal point of the offense. He now has the opportunity in Toronto, playing starter’s minutes and becoming heavily involved in eery game plan.

Across the season between the Knicks and Raptors, Quickley averages six potential assists and 3.8 actual assists.Since being traded to Toronto, those numbers have jumped to 9.5 and 6.7. But across Toronto’s last nine games since Siakam was shipped out, the numbers balloon to 11.8 and 7.8.
The Hornets have the leagues worst defensive rating and yield the fourth-most assists per game this season (and second-most across their last three contests).
This game has a 7.5-point spread in favor of Toronto, so hopefully its competitive.
RotoGrinders has Quickley projected for 33 minutes Wednesday night, and he has covered this 23.5 number in five of seven games when playing 33-plus minutes as a Raptor.
