NBA DFS picks: PrizePicks players to target in Bucks-Spurs, Nuggets-Warriors
There are just two games in the NBA on Thursday night.
Luckily for us, we have no shortage of superstar players and both games will be nationally televised.
Lets take a look at three of my favorite projections to target at PrizePicks.
Victor Wembanyama (Spurs vs. Bucks) more than 19.5 points
The Spurs rookie phenom, who will face the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo for the first time (he sat out the Dec. 19 matchup), has scored at least 20 points in his last three games.
The last two games were difficult matchups against the Grizzlies 12th-ranked defense and against a Celtics defense that ranks third in the league. He dropped 30 points against the Blazers 20th-ranked defense three games ago.
Wembanyama has been on a minutes restriction lately as he nurses an ankle sprain back to full strength. He has averaged a little more than 24 minutes per game over his last five, but that has not prevented him from topping this projecton of late.
On Thursday, he gets a matchup against the Bucks, who have played at the fourth-fastest pace in the NBA while struggling to a 21st overall defensive rating.
The uptempo pace of the Bucks should allow Wemby plenty of opportunities to surpass his points projection even in limited minutes.
The time on court has been trending in the right direction also, as he played 26 minutes against the Grizzlies after averaging 23.7 minutes the four previous games.
Jamal Murray (Nuggets vs. Warriors) more than 6.5 assists
Murray is averaging 6.2 assists per game this season, but he has beaten his projection for Thursday in three straight games.
Over his last three games, he has posted nine assists against the Grizzlies, 11 against the Thunder and seven against the Bulls.
Jamal Murray faces the Warriors on Thursday. APMurray gets a great matchup Thursday against a Warriors team that ranks 19th in defensive rating. The Warriors rank 21st in defensive rating since Draymond Greens latest suspension (10 games).
Murray has dealt with a hamstring injury and an ankle injury early in this season, but he looks to be back to full health and should keep rolling in a plus-matchup with the Warriors.
Jonathan Kuminga (Warriors vs. Nuggets) more than 5.0 rebounds
The Warriors have made a couple of key changes to their starting lineup over the past 10 games. Kuminga was inserted into the lineup for the suspended Green, and rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis has taken over the center position for Kevon Looney.
The lineup change has meant two things for Kuminga more minutes and more rebound opportunities. He has averaged 26.1 minutes and 5.5 rebounds per game since becoming a starter.

Looney and his 19.1% rebound rate moved to the bench two games ago. Kuminga grabbed nine boards against the Mavericks and six boards against the Magic in those two games.
Nikola Joki and the Nuggets rank seventh in rebound rate this season, so Kuminga will have his work cut out for him. But the Magic team he just posted six rebounds against ranks one spot ahead of the Nuggets for the season.
Kumingas new role in the starting lineup should help him record more than five rebounds Thursday.
