Knicks’ NBA championship odds unchanged after OG Anunoby trade
The Knicks blockbuster trade for the Raptors’ OG Anunoby doesnt help their 2024 NBA title chances in the slightest, according to Vegas oddsmakers.
Before Saturdays deal, the Knicks championship odds were sitting at +5000 at BetMGM, tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 14th-best odds in the NBA and fifth-best in the Eastern Conference.
Now, after sending RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to the Raptors in exchange for Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn, their Larry OBrien Trophy chances remain unchanged.
The nicks are still sitting at +5000 to win the NBA title this season alongside the Cavaliers on BetMGMs oddsboard, a far cry from the inner circle of the championship contender Celtics (+350), Nuggets (+400) and Bucks (+450).

The Knicks separated themselves from the Cavaliers in terms of their Eastern Conference odds, jumping from +2500 to +2000, but barely putting a dent in the gap between them and the Celtics, Bucks and 76ers.
At 17-14 heading into Saturdays NBA action, the Knicks are sitting in seventh in the East and would host a play-in tournament game if the season ended today.
FanDuel Sportsbook currently has them -590 to make the postseason with an over/under total pegged at 45.5 wins.

Anunoby, who made the All-NBA Defensive Second Team last year, has long been regarded as one of the top wing-stoppers in the league.
He should also slot in as an excellent spot-up shooter alongside the more ball-dominant Brunson and Julius Randle.
Anunoby has shot at least 36 percent on 5.5 attempts from 3-point land in each of the past four seasons.
